Case Study - Festival

A digital system for 100,000+ visitors

A long‑term client organising a large public festival needed a website, paperless ticketing and a social presence from scratch, with a one‑month deadline, at a site with poor cellular coverage.

One connected system delivered it all, so the organisers could focus on the festival itself.

The Brief

A long‑term client was organising a large public festival, estimated to attract more than 100,000 visitors over three days. The brief: develop a new website and booking system within a month of agreeing to the project.

The ticketing had to be completely paperless: customers bought several tickets online, received them, and displayed them on their phones at the gate. It had to work in a location with poor cellular coverage, with security to prevent fraud and support for discounts.

The System We Deployed

Website, ticketing, payment, social and design, built and run as one connected system around a single strategy spine, on a deadline that left no room for disconnected suppliers.

The Spine

Strategy

Every decision was driven by three fixed constraints: 100,000+ visitors, one month to launch, and a site where connectivity couldn’t be relied on. The system was designed backwards from the visitor at the gate.

Layer - Content & Authority

A social presence from a standing start

The festival had little or no social media history, so we started from scratch across three platforms. Our automated posting software generated a high volume of unique content and regular, attractive articles.

Within a few weeks, interactions and new likes reached the thousands and grew daily, feeding ticket sales on the website.

Layer - Content & Creative

Unlimited design, one identity

While the website and social campaigns were being built, the client used our unlimited graphic design service to create a consistent flow of related content, images, and graphics, including 3D layouts of the festival site.

Always On

Fully managed, so the team could build a festival

Propria handled the software, website, payments, and marketing as a single system, working closely with the management team throughout.

Outsourcing the whole digital operation left the organisers free to do what they do best: build a festival to remember.

Layer - Website & Conversion

Paperless ticketing that works offline

We built the website and booking system as one: customers buy several tickets online, receive them instantly and show them on their phones, no printing, and no dependence on a signal at the gate. Fraud protection and discount support were built in.

The site itself covered every aspect of the festival, visitor information, impressive displays, numerous news feeds, and vast amounts of content about the vehicles and attendees.

The Results

One Solution

A complete solution managed and operated, so the client could focus on development

Thousands

Of interactions and new likes within weeks, from zero social presence.

Rising sales

The website grew with the festival, and ticket sales increased with it.

The festival is a prime example of the system working as one flexible solution: software, website, payment and marketing handled by a single team, each layer feeding the next — and the client’s own team focused entirely on the event.
